Greenweave 65mm WIP Catrina L Artist note: (Deliberately posted a large image so viewers can scroll around and see the individual images.) A sculpted from scratch and mold piece. This was my first figure in this 65 mm size, so I had a friend that helped and taught and showed me how. We work side by side as she was working on her piece as well. This all begins with a wire armature (the two photos on the sides) along with the drawing of mine I used. The photo on the bottom shows some clay on it as well as the wire. It is worth at least an American quarter in value because one is used for this scale as a part of the base. :) The top middle photos are of the face. I was shy and unsure about sculpting the face as a beginner in this scale so -- for the face [only] I took a mold off of one of the C - "Disney Fiery Rosetta" cake toppers I found on ebay and Modified / Altered (photo insert next to male face for comparison) -- it is a little wider for a male so I could use the eyes and bangs as scale for the figure. Had to fill in some places using a "green clay" that is a two-part plastic epoxy that stays soft and flexible after curing and is made for small detail. He is approximately 3 and a half inches tall. The bottom middle shows the painting in progress. For this piece I am using a book on how to paint miniatures for the process called "How to paint citadel miniatures" by Games Workshop. It builds up the colors in watered down layers; it has two layers applied at this point.
