Quite a storm of emotions here! It's great to see other elves than those present at the Holt react to Rill's less than stellar idea to go human-hunting (or whatever his cubbish plan truly was). Snowfall isn't exactly an ice-queen, but since she's one of the older elves it's always interesting to see her lose her temper. And she really earned a loss of calm here - foolish, foolish little cub!

I like the tension in this. It conveys well how hard it can be to be stuck away from something that is happening and not being able to do anything. It was also interesting to get Windsong's feelings about what was going on with Rill. I guess I hadn't really imagined the relationship between them and it was nice to get a glimpse of it.

I never thought I'd ever see Snowfall lose her cool! But the pregnancy, the human brought stress and her grandson pushed her uncharacteristically over the edge! ... I also sense a follow up story in the last line(?)
