Thank you so much for this, Sofia! It is exactly how I pictured it in my mind -- Fadestar pushing herself too hard, putting too much responsibilities on her own shoulders... she needed someone like Cloudfern to put her back on the ground with two feet, literally :) I probably couldn't have written this better than you <3

This is a really great way to weave the support structures of the tribe into the events as well. It's good to have an example of Newt not shouldering the full burden here, but realizing that he can ask for help on behalf of others. From the stories coming after the Fierce Ones re-appearance, it's clear that all of the younglings are feeling the strain in their own ways. Cloudfern has a great interaction with Fadestar here, and I think he fits an advisor role so well - he has an almost paternal aura of care here which I found to be really fitting. It's nice to read this one in full!

That was so sweet that Newt was worried about her! And I like the very subtle hint of Fadestar's past ~ I think (IMHO) she is pushing herself because she COULDN'T when she was a cub!! Glad Cloudfern "gets it" and lets her in on the wider community of fellow magic users!
