Great coming of age story! I am happy for Crackle that she finally found the reason for her restlessness and unease. It was also interesting to see her point of view on love and Recognition. Must admit I have not thought her to be such a romantic. But it suits her.
I also liked to see the undercurrent about Windsong's and Suddendusk's relationship that resonates with the story.

A very good set-up for wanting one's own den! I like the different angles you worked here, not boiling it down to just one reason but showing off the pile of things that finally broke the proverbial camel's back. I felt I learned more about Crackle by reading this and the story really cemented for me that Crackle no longer is the cub I got to know when I first joined RTH.

This is a great look at a more pensive side to Crackle. It's interesting to get inside her head, especially to finally have her true thoughts on recognition, and what she might be looking for in love. I love how this story flows through the months, and touches on so many different aspects of life. I really like how Rill is a near-constant presence, this story makes me reconsider how close I consider these two to be. And I was so happy to finally see in writing that Suddendusk and Windsong were still together, even if Crackle still worries. It's a really interesting look at how Crackle is growing up and changing.

I enjoy this story on SO many levels! Crackle's secret thoughts on her father's Recognition with another elf. Her needing her own den and not knowing it yet. And the way she has matured SO much! She is a adult elf in her own right! Love her deep thoughts, that she actually likes to think! What a difference from the crazy cub she was!

Yay! I'm very glad to be able to make the first comment because I want you to know I appreciate your hard work.
You have a real talent for weaving your stories and this is no exception. The way you move through the storyline adding normal tribe events sprinkled with Crackle's musing, is very effective. It's a rare look into what's rattling around in Crackle's head and some interesting perspective on what her parents may be going through. Nice to see Rill growing up too. And yay! Crackle's own den!!
THANKS again. Love it!
