Poor Raven! Though he did make part of his bed, losing one's Recognized isn't exactly something that leads to an elf being able to make rational decisions. Getting a look inside his head after the events of "Missing" is a treat, as sad as his thoughts may be.

What a magical moment you describe here. I know for Raven it must felt mainly scary and exhausting and... really scary. But still, I somhow imagine it a serene moment, at least from the "sea wolves'" point of view. ;)
And so good to see Raven's story come to life. I am looking forward to get to know him.

It's so good to read Raven's POV for this scene, after the heartbreak that was Cloudfern. A glimpse into his head is wonderful, and reassuring. I like the choice you made with the orca pod, I think dolphins would have been traditional. This one kept me on the edge of my seat - I think because of knowing how dangerous the 'seawolves' can be. Really dramatic, and you kept it interesting and tense throughout, which can be a challenge with a single character!

I love the scene with the killer whales! Very spiritual even. Can't wait for the tribe to find three of their own on the island!!
