Quite a dramatic turn! I felt for Coriander every step of the way - moving away from a place that feels like home is so, so painful! I also very much enjoyed the seamless way you weaved in the human politics, culture and history into this story; it all felt very natural and flowed wonderfully!

The Ebenas are so complex and fascinating. I will miss them! But this is a great glimpse into their life style back home with all those formalities, exotic food and florish clothing.
I feel really sorry for Coriander, here, too.

This just made me sad. Coriander seems like a truly unhappy person here, which did touch me in a non-descriptive way. Like usually you do a good job creating a certain mood and show us glimpses of the world outside the elves grasp.
Though I have to admit a lot of the names and terms just made me struggle to place them. It feels like I missed something that would make these things have more weight. I probably should have read the Handbook on human culture more closely.
Anyway. Sad, sad story and I hope Coriander will be able to find a way to get happy. I feel for her feeling at home even if others don't understand.

I love this glimpse into the world of one of the human encampments. Suddenly, their world feels much more fleshed-out for me and I find it very intriguing as well. I find myself hoping that Coriander might find some way to stay at the colony she loves.

I like how powerfully you depicted the feelings of having to leave your home. The fore-knowing of it and the reactions after confirming it as well. Nicely done! Looking forward to seeing how this plays out!
