Great call-back to Brightwood's fall! Getting a better understanding of Farscout and Copper's father-daughter relationship was great - they sure are a lot alike! Love how you worked in both Farscout's wanderlust and his absolute loyalty to and love for his family.

I think Copper is very good for her Papa. :) I like the relationship they have, and how Copper can squeeze in, past the need for space, and pull Farscout back.

What I really liked about this was the dynamic inherent in the tagline: Farscout is such an independent character, and for all that he is devoted to Brightwood, she knows when to respect his independence, and not to hover. But a child doesn't know that or appreciate it, and I like that Copper isn't a respecter of his boundaries. It is great to see that for all his independence, he's also willing to be pulled into being a dad.

Wow, you caught the father/daughter dynamic perfectly! Copper is Daddy's Little Girl and the Princess! Farscout waited hundreds of years for his family. Scouting can wait.

This is adorable. I love the atmosphere, Angie. The calm, quietness, even through you sense the wanderlust in Farscout. I love how you captured his inner musing. How he misses the "road" and at the same time wouldn't want to be anywhere else but at home. It feels very real to me.
Wandering seems to just be a part of him.
I also like how you depicted little Copper here and point out how similar she is to her father. The dynamic between father and daughter here is just... heartwarming. I enjoyed reading this moment between them. Copper really is cute but also a bit eerie here XD So smart for such a young child... well and she has her father warped around her little finger.
