I particularly like here that we see young Goldspice being such a dedicated crafter -- not to say obsessed, thank goodness, but focused enough that you can see that she inherits more than just talent from her mother Ice, it's just that in Goldspice it's tempered with warmth as well. I think it's a very nice idea for her to have created a gift that's for the infant's future, one she will have to grow into, as well.

What a sweet little story. I think my favorite part of this is how much it shows Goldspice's love and dedication to her craft. I think it's something that makes her unique. I like how well she planned this out apparently and how much confidence she pulls from it.
She also seems like a very cheerful and social elf here but still has the slight oddness about her.
I also like the nod towards her relationship to Fletcher and her early crush on Moss. I'd not have thought it to have started this early .

A lovely little story! I definitely have to read up on some history as some of these characters I don't know well. I do like how Sparkle nuzzles Whistle's head. It's something I can imagine the elves doing, being very tactile and scent-oriented.

I admit, it took me a while to figure out who some of the characters were and how they were related to each other. But, that only made me "do my homework" on the history of the tribe, so that was good!! My favorite part was Sparkle having such butterflies around Moss. It was cute to see, this beginning of their romance! And paying such attention to details, like the gemstone having to match the eyes! Nice!!
