I loved Pathmark's subtle "Who would be jealous of you?" teasing with the "Jealous Eyes"! Only a brother would dare do that ~ and survive!!... Of course I didn't realize that they were both love mates with Beetle until the second half of the story! History repeats itself ~ sort of!

Liked to see the siblings together and how they handle each other. Good for Pathmark that he knows how to stand his ground around his more dominant, know-it-all sister. And I just realized now that both of them were together with Bettle at one point. How ironic. Well, must happen with such a small population and few opportunities around, eh?! ;)

This was so fun to work on with Annika! A story that featured some of the day-to-day relationships between Willow and Pathmark was long overdue, and it was great to see how it developed here. I'm very glad folks are happy with the final result!

It's really enjoyable seeing Pathmark here so natural and even happy to hold his own and tease the more stubborn and strong-minded Willow, he's such a sweetheart but it makes sense for things to be a little different within a family. I wish we saw those two interact more and how their different tempers play off each other! Pathmark really has potential to be a softening and grounding influence in Willow's life. I really enjoyed the end, with all those happy elves laughing together, all of them finding who they were right for. Lovely mental image.

With the tribe being the size it is, these sort of relationship changes are of course inevidable, and I like how it was handled here. It's so natural when Willow and Pathmark talk of lovemating and sharing furs with more than one person - it really felt like it was two elves with elfin culture annd morals talking, all the way.

What I really liked here was getting to see Pathmark holding his own against his more outgoing sister. I've always gotten the feeling that it would have been easy for Pathmark to grow up in Willow's shadow in all kinds of ways… so his being able to get a friendly jab in at her must have felt SO rewarding to him. :)

Ah... I just want to brew up a steaming cup of kahlua-laced hot chocolate and enjoy the moment here. I love seeing these two siblings interact, and it's fun to see their relationship portrayed over a span of years like this!

What a great story about these siblings, and their respective relationships with Beetle :) I love that Pathmark was right, and that he's younger and knew something that his older sister didn't.

Beautiful way to twine these two relationships together! I'm so happy to see the change in time without drama or heartbreak or "jealous eyes". It's a really wonderful look at Pathmark's sweet-hearted personality playing off of Willow's smugness, and I never really clicked into the irony before it was pointed out here! Great little look into the interactions between Willow and Pathmark and how they've changed a bit over the years. :)

Heh, I have to agree, it's ironic that it's Beetle of all elves Willow ended up with. Good thing elves are not quite as fussy as we humans about those things!

The banter between the two siblings was great - I think everyone with siblings can recognise that from their own interactions, it rang very true to me. And it's kinda funny how the older sister was so smug about having figured out things so well, and it turns out the one with more wisdom is the little brother! Very sweet, and I would love to see more stories about those two siblings!

Ha. Yeah I had to think the same when I read the story about the failed lovemating between Pathmark and Beetle back in the days and when finally WIllow and Beetle ended up together.
It IS quite ironic that Willow did with of all people end up with a former lovemate of her brother. (Then again I bet that it might not be the first time in the tribe that happened)
It's somehow funny ... I imagine if I ended up with a lover of one of my siblings it might end in a lot more emotional chaos. But that's the glory of being an elf :) Hurray for that!

I liked the parallel here and the banter between brother and sister. It was kinda familiar how they completely seemed to talk at cross-purposes.

Loved to see the siblings here at an older age interacting with each other. Would like to see more of that :)
