I love this look at the strain felt by someone who has usually taken on the "one who is strong and supports others" role, until it's the role expected of her, even the one she expects of herself. It's a hard situation. It's often hardest for someone like that to give herself permission to grieve. I particularly liked that we see that it's not something easily solved by just having someone else notice and comfort her. That rings very true, as well.

This story was well worth the wait! Snowfall's grief is just so palpable here! I am really glad that you decided to revisit this moment in time, and show us more of how Snowfall handled Whispersilk's loss.

Oh, that's just heartbreaking. You nearly had me in tears with the descriptions of Snowfall's memories of Whispersilk, and the losses of their family before and after. It's a great glimpse into how Snowfall's dealing with the pain and anger, and completely relatable in her desire to be alone for a while. Very well written, and so sad to read. You work with emotions very well!

It's quite shocking to realize how much family Snowfall lost in the matter of a few years. I could kinda relate to her that even with this burden she wants to be the strong one comforting her sister while she herself would need some comfort as well.. which to be fair people offered but I also can relate that she can't quite allow herself yet to let that happen.

I did like the ending here showing that some things are not fixed with one talk and one moment to confront your pain. Snowfall always seems like a strong person and it's nice to get a look behind the facade and see some cracks there.

I am also found of the brief moment where we get to see Moss and Nightstorm as recognized. Even if just hinted at it was nice to get an idea of that they are close beyond friendship ad love.
