This also shows how hard it is emotionally for elves of the same sex not to be able to have a child together. Also, Cloudfern *should* feel happy that it was his aunt at first, but later on he *can't* be happy that it's Honey!!

This is an interesting story, to see how each birthing effects Cloudfern in different ways, a yearning, joy, and with the last sadness. You wrote it well, I enjoyed seeing it, and made you feel for him.

writing sad sad stories that move the reader is hard sometimes. You nailed the emotions of CF to the wall and make me want to cuddel him and say every thing will be alright. well done. short sad and vary well played.

This is so short, but SO effective! I love how each scene builds on the one before it, and how each birth is underscored by bittersweet feelings that couldn't be anticipated. Very strong look at Cloudfern and his private griefs, and also at some of his strongest connections.

That hurt. My heart is actually aching for Cloudfern. Great job!!! Wonderfully written and well paced.

Not sure if I had already mentioned it but before you took him over Cloudfern was the less interesting elf for me. Maybe it was due to the many pictures showing him in girlish poses that made me think of overused Anime stereotypes. But you breathed life into him, you gave him edges and showed us his true nature in detail. Thanks for that!

I really enjoyed these three snapshots in time for Cloudfern -- and man, do you ever leave me craving more! MORE MORE MORE! Pretty please!

Great story! I love seeing the different births and reactions, and how the torch is sort of passed between Raven to Cloudfern to Greenweave, and the different emotions that accompany it. So brutally painful at the end though, I wish it could have been different for Cloudfern/Greenweave/Honey! It's a great take on that tragedy, and really makes one feel for poor Cloudfern.

I do like these glimpse into Cloudferns life and how each birth ties in with his lovelife as well. First with Raven then with Greenweave.
The last one was so bitter. Poor Cloudfern really took this badly and I can imagine this birth was bittersweet for Greenweave as well, knowing his former lovemate is not sharing this moment with him and knowing why.
The relationship between them really gains new dimensions with stories like this. It went past "sweetest lovers" and to a very work intensive reunion.

Anyway. I do like how brief it is and how it shows that recognition is standing over relationships and is not equal to love or preferences in partners. Maybe I read a lot more into it then there is but still, it hit me here in a subtle way.

But man Sofia... can we have something without a gut-punch for Cloudfern now? XD
