Figuring out the relationships between the ancestors can be tricky, but fun.
Writing the Recognition from a third party POV was fun! :)

Hm, what an arkward moment that must be when being the only witness and the only other person around when two elves Recognize... considering what will happen immediately afterwards. ;)
I was not aware that Spearpoint limbed. So nice to see more stories of our Ancestors. They get more and more fleshed out.

I really enjoyed seeing the relationships between these three. You can tell that Bravestride is alittle protective of his cubs with the way Spearpoint reacts, and you can tell Spearpoint really respects Knifemaker.
The outside perspective on the recognition was really awesome, and I love that Spearpoint just takes it so calmly, it really shows his personality.

Seeing a Recognition from an outsider's perspective (so to speak) was interesting and really showed the higher rate of children needed and concieved at the start of the Holt. Really liked the details of the stones they found!

Yes, I like this POV choice, especially since Spearpoint is involved, in a way -- a practitioner of Knifemaker's craft, perhaps, but also Bravestride's son. It's a reminder how intertwined the relationships are in the tribe.

Nice choice using Spearpoint to tell the story of Knifemaker and Bravestride's recognition. I love getting this glimpse into the past - and the story's 'potential' turned out to be quite the twist!

I did like the interaction between Kniefmaker and Bravestride here along with the the feel of good-nature teasing between the two. It's interesting to see such a major event happening in the background, so to say, and from the POV from someone not involved at things at the time.
