This did go well with your story, Joanne! It's nice to have continuity in stories.

Using the cute little peepers as a sign of spring, as a creepy addition to Chicory's nightmare and as a mother-daughter moment was a great idea! Both a chilling and heartwarming story.

Yes, I really like how a simple thing like enjoying the normal rhythm of life, and spring returning, with Glow is an antidote to the fears that are still plaguing Chicory's dreams.

Oh, Chicory's dream is terrifying. Such eerie imagery. I really love how that transitions to the waking world, and Willow's comment makes everything a little more light-hearted again. Glow is so adorable here, and you make the peepers and the signs of spring be such a relief in every way. Lovely look at the mother/daughter pair too. :)

So good to see a story in the Treasure Hunt that is related to the Fierce Ones plot. And even better that it shows how Chicory is dealing after the immediate threat. You managed very well to transfer the feelings of hopelessness, fear and finality in the first lines.

This ties in with the Story Joanne did nicely indeed.
That nightmare was really terrifying and I feel with Chicory's fear here. The good news after such a long time of anguish and tension seems always too good to be true, doesn't it? Especially when the once you love are still not back and things are in this weird limbo between the Status Que and the state of emergency.
I really liked how the hope came through in this. The song of Spring and suddenly it seems as if there is a bit more warmth and hope out there. Very nice :)

I hope I'm not going to sound to egotistical here, but I think this story is a great bookend to the one I wrote. It seems like when things are dark it's the little things that help bring some normalcy back to life, and I'm glad to see that Chicory has this moment of starting to see the other side of what has been a very stressful and scary time.
