Interesting story! I really like how True Edge was there to support Charm in her last moments, it's moments like that that stand out from the general turmoil of the holt at this time. It was really good to see more of Kestrel and True Edge's interactions too! I like how Kestrel is so patient with him.

This story let me learn a lot about True Edge. I bow my head to his dedication to his Holt and his family. But his hatred against all humans kinda surpsised me. I knew it was bad but I did not expect it to be that irreparably as is seems to be right now. I wonder how this will get together when the elves meet the humans one day.

I felt really bad for Charm in the beginning...glad True Edge was able to be with her, though. Also interesting to see that he was pretty much sure he'd bond with Branch after that, even though the bond hadn't happened yet.

It was great to see the interaction between Kestrel and True Edge here (and how Kestrel is able to keep a cool head while True Edge's rage comes out). I can imagine how the prolonged separation would have been hard on all of them.

Poor Charm, but at least she had True Edge and Branch with her in the end. Cloudfern asking Kestrel to help True Edge with his stress and worries (I would say fears, but I'm afraid he'll bite me) was very fitting. I like Kestrel and True Edge's relationship; it's always great to get a look at the different duos inside a three-mating, how they interact when the third isn't there.

I like the sense in this story that losing Charm, like losing any wolf-friend, would be sorrowful, but something taken in stride at a normal time; but, how this story builds so that it's one more piece that adds to how tightly-wound with tension and negative feelings True Edge is at this time. Thank goodness Kestrel arrived when she did! It really gave him a much-needed outlet for some of the things he was keeping tightly locked down.

That was quite interesting to read. Poor Charm, but I agree that it's good to know her suffering found and end. I am curious about Branch now. It see some potential in this wolf. It will be interesting to see how she develops.

I also wonder if There will be some kind of tension between True Edge and Blacksnake now. That'd be interesting too.

I have to admit, I wish we'd seen more of True Edge pushing himself too hard beforehand. It came a bit unexpected to me., since in the other stories he seemed to have a good balance regarding the situation around them.

Anyhow it's good to know Kestrel could ease his sorrows a bit. Let's hope living with him on the limited room will work better now for all of them ;)
