Isn't it funny how one moment/story/dream from childhood can carry with us through life? The curious flying fish is PERFECT for Beetle as a totem/imaginary being! Only Beetle is not annoying, she is so Cute!!

Beetle has such a big imagination! Her dream is really sweet and I love how she identifies herself with the fish in terms of her curiosity and thirst to find things out.

A sweet dream indeed! I love the feel of this story, being playful and happy. Our elves have plenty of nightmares and it was nice to see a good, silly dream for once.

:) She would definitely dream of the sky fish! I love how this helps to show that Beelte's curiosity sometimes fed itself - her brother's story led to the dream, which led to wanting to know even more! Thank you for this!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! :D Young Beetle was a lot of fun to write about, and Peggy's picture, of course, gave me a lot of inspiration, too! (Such as the twisting/swimming motion for flying!)

A lovely idea -- of course Beetle would dream about the sky-fish! It makes you sad that such creatures don't actually exist. (It's also kind of a neat idea, in that it's almost like Beetle now has them for imaginary friends.)

This was so sweet! Very much the innocent dream of a child, and such lovely, fantastical imagery!

You created a wonderful dream atmosphere here. And it was so lovely to see how Beetle's curiosity was sparked by this special dream totem.

Oh, this had such a wonderful dream atmosphere, and I love the image of Beetle and the fish poking their noses into everything! I also really like how you tied the curiosity of the fish to Beetle's. It's just a sweet little story :).

I love how Beetle's personality comes through so much in her dream. It's sweet to think of these beautiful fish creatures sharing and guiding her in her curiosity.

This was just a wonderful imagery here. I really love the dreamlike atmosphere and I love the sense of childlike joy that dose come through in this. It's all over a sweet and heartwarming little story.
I love how you made the connection between the curious birds-fish and Beetle's own curious nature. ^^
