I wanted to show the unpalatable taste of the dyeweed for the story, and the idea of a wolf being curious enough to try it struck me. :) Peggy's great picture gave me a lot of visual details to start with (which are always hard for me)! In fact, the way she drew the plants in the basket gave me a month for the date when I looked up what woad looks like at what time of the year!

Ha ha! I love it when the wolf-friends intrude on the elves' daily lives! Because you KNOW that they would be all up in the elves' business quite often. :)

This definitely made me giggle! I often find it hard to write for wolves, but here the wolf's actions and reactions were very believable and made for a humorous scene!

Haha, this was so cute! I think it's great that we get to see more Nightstorm here, and I really liked the wolf POV you used :). And of course the image of Silverbite with a blue tongue is too funny - it made me laugh!

This is just too cute! I love the wolf's curiosity and the blue tongue is the icing on the cake for the story:)

I love your description of Silverbite's behavior - I could see my dog behaving in just the same way, especially in response to the bad-tasting dye.

Wonderful, little story, you came up with for my pic. It's great to see how you built up a plot around one single snapshot. Love the use of the wolf's POV, too.

Always a treat to see more of Nightstorm :)
This was such a nice one. I really love how you use the wolfnature here and the curiousness it brings for smells and tastes :D
This really made me chuckle a little.

Heee! I just had to spray my dog's hind-end with Bitter Apple, and his woeful expression afterwards just made me think of this fic and laugh!
