This is a great slice-of-life! I love Crackle's revenge. The interactions are really descriptive, from Fadestar keeping Newt still, to both of their disbelief against Crackle's satisfaction.

Crackle and Fadestar interaction is always interesting to see, be it a long story or a short and fun one like this. Crackle being Crackle is always great XD

What a great tale for the picture. They go together so well. I especially like Crackle's certainty that it's the same fish. My guess is, she's right! :)

Haha, a fresh bite! Well, no one can say Crackle isn't the persevere type of elf. ;)
I like this little scene out of the everyday life of the Holt. It is good to see Fadestar following her trade and how she handles her "customers" with a strong hand. ;)

It's nice when some satisfying revenge also has a practical benefit. ;-) But I also love how skeptical Fadestar and Newt are, in contrast to Crackle's certainty. I hope that Fadestar comes to treasure that set.

Haha, I love Crackle's confidence in this story, even in the face of her peers' skepticism. And even though it isn't long, that certainly doesn't mean it's trivial ;) The dialogue is great and shows off the personality of each character nicely!

Wow! Trivial is *not* what I was thinking when I read this! I think it's totally great. :) I love how Crackle is so overly certain it's that same sawtooth just 'because'! This is a very warm story with the interaction of these three, and Crackle's relaying of her tale of triumph makes it funny as well. And I agree, the details are wonderful too!

I think it's a great little piece :). Really like how Crackle is absolutely convinced of the truth of her words - so typically her! And the details of the story, like Newt being slapped by Fadestar to remind him to stand still while she gets on with her work, made it such a great slice of life for our elves.

Melanie, you are your own worst critic! I love this vignette! I love how it showcases Crackle's determination, Newt's curiosity, and Fadestar's crafting all while leaving a smile on my face. Very nice work!

Oh my. This one here seems so trivial compared to all the other great entries on this first clue. ^^
But the world can use some trivial things as well I think :)
