Not to be a nudge, but Nightstorm is Nightstorm when Laugher is two and is Brook again when she is three. :D Anyway, Laughter and Whitestag aren't having the best of beginnings, are they? Poor guy!!... Glad Starskimmer can be so flexible in her roles! LOL

I just love the way this story showcases Starskimmer's adaptability! She's shown as a doting mother, a lover, and a healer, as the situation warrants and she just shines in each role. I think the initial scenes of her plans with her daughter were just so sweet. Then comes Whitestag and hello! :D Funtimes! Pretty realistic - maybe a bit too much - ending, poor little Laughter. And Whitestag, not quite the end of the evening he was expecting. ;)

Oh, the "joys" of parenthood! I really liked how the mood of this piece changed in an instant, with everyone scrambling to address the crisis. Poor Whitestag! But you just know that he'll have plenty of other opportunities with Starskimmer. ;-)

I always love to see stories about Starskimmer and her older kids when they were younger; there's so much potential there with mischievous Notch and curious Beetle! Starskimmer always seems so patient and loving with them, especially here when she had other plans that needed to be put on hold. I think little Beetle got the worst of the situation though :(

That was very cute and funny - poor Starskimmer, mothers can't just catch a break! I really liked how she rolled with the punches here. Being able to adapt quickly really helps with having small kids :p.
And Whitestag doesn't seem to have any luck with little Beetle - when she's not used to play pranks on him, she throws up all over him. Poor guy XD!

I so love Whitestag being - kind of - the hero of the tribe, has to endure the meanest pranks and embarrasing situations. But he handled it well, despite Notchs gloating.
This is a lovely insight into Starskimmers life and the life of a mother in general. Good to know, that even the elves have to deal with mean nettles.

Yeah... Being a mother means never to have an evening all on your own for sure. I like how Stzarskimmer is set on having a good time here but is ready to shift her priorities so quickly when needed. It showed how wells he can adjust, which is really great quality.
Poor Whitstage... he still handled it quite well I think ;) Being thrown up on is no fun ... well not if you are the target. Lovely bit.

Life with cubs isn't always easy. Loved this look into the less than smooth going nights that the elves also have; poor Beetle, nettles are evil, evil plants!

This is a great story! A real moment-in-time for a mom :) It's nice to see that motherly side of her was practical and warm while still allowing room for other parts of hersef.

Poor Whitestag -- he's the target of pranks and then a little kid barfs all over him, spoiling his planned fun time! The guy can't catch a break, can he? (I'm left giggling madly in glee over it, too!) I love Starskimmer's roll-with-the-punches attitude here, great stuff!
