Funny - I never thought of a Preserver having treasures. These little creatures are always fun.
Cute peak into a cubs growing relationship with the memory of his mom.

It was so easy to imagine Flutterby dressing and cat-walking like a model around. The parody of Windburn thinking was lovely and funny, too. So cool, how these little fellwos are funyn without even intending.
This was a heart-warming story and mine ached a bit for Cinder here, who never had the chance to meet his mother in person.

I really enjoyed this fic, and how Flutterby has something to share with Cinder regarding Whispersilk. I love your line about the Preserver "patting and primping it like a raven cleaning its wings" with its "headtoppings", and now I really want to know where Flutterby's hidey-hole is!

Again, it's really nice to see a Preserver treated like an individual, rather than as a sort of accessory or background-color figure. The idea that Flutterby could be an important link for Cinder to memories of his mother really underscores that.

You did a fantastic job showing us bits about each of the preservers, and I think you helped shape their personalities even more. What I like here is that Flutterby's sentimentality shows, as does Cinder's. I'm glad he is shown searching to know more about his mother.

That was just heartwarming. I like how it tells us so much about Flutterby, Cinder AND Whispersilk. I feel still as if I hardly knew her and this was such a nice piece whowing a part of her.
Love all the little things as well. The many hats, the hints at Muckabout being a mess and how Cinder kept that pendent in mind. That stuck out to me for a reason.

I could be wrong but did you manage to write a little story for each of the preservers here Chris? Awesome :)

Adorable! I must say, I love how Cinder is finding out so much about both his parents through these heirloom pieces. :) I love how Whispersilk made all those little hats -- makes me feel nostalgic for a lady at a flea market where I used to live who made all sorts of beautiul Barbie Doll clothes.

Aww, what a nice little scene - I like that Cinder is trying to find out more about his mother, and of course Flutterby is a great choice for that. It's very touching that it even kept the "head topper" Muckabout messed up.
