Hey! Asking a pregnant elf if she's storing fat for the winter is WAY better than a little kid asking a fat woman if she's pregnant! I love that he's so young he doesn't know the facts of life yet! And him thinking he's pregnant too is too adorable!! *Kwaii!*

I giggled reading the description of Tallow's work area, I wouldn't have pictured her as the messy type.
Poor little Windburn though, being woken up just to introduce him to a cub he wont really meet for another turn of seasons.

Littlejab really felt like a young child - at that stage when they've started to question informations people around them give them, but still somewhat gullible. And the ending made me smile, so cute and silly!

What a wonderful look into a child's perception. So cute.

And the wonder of pregnancy - always a miracle. Always.

Thanks for the comments! I think it's hard to write young children realistically. They almost always seem too adult and precocious. I tried to make Littlejab's thoughts and actions age appropriate.

Awww, I really love that Littlejab got to meet baby Windburn so early on! Adorable -- and so realistic with the questions and reactions Littlejab had. :) I especially loved the description about it being like a fish sliding past underwater! And what a perfectly cute ending, too! ^_^

Very sweet story! And his question if Easysinger is preparing for winter and stores fat... soo hilarious! I was imagining what will happen if a kid says that to pregnant women in real life. I doubt any of them will be amused. ;)
Littlejab is an adorable child. And thanks for the reminder that he isn't much older than Windburn.

The handling of Littlejab as a very little kid here is really spot-on! I love his little-kid logic. :)

Now this was really funny story. Little Thornbow is just too cute - and quite observant!

That was a nice little story. What I really liked here is somehow how there was such an early contact though Easysinger between Windburn and Thornbow. It is kinda nice knowing today that they would become such close friends.
Tallow was very sweet here as well. and I hope for Thornbow that he really one day will be a father elf ^^
Cute and really fun little piece :)
