You've given us a very intriguing glimpse into an unexpected phobia here, amid the troll-plots. I think it was described in a way that gives it weight, even if the idea of a troll surrendering to the appearance of a preserver comes off as startling at first. I really like the way you've woven the troll politics into the elfin world as well, with the mentions of the Walker!

So much politics and back-handed solutions, I love it! Seeing Bludgeon get over his phobia (if he can) will be interesting and I love Thumbprint as a character; kind but ruthless, a wonderful combination.

Oh, I loved the intrigues here. Thumbprint is such a clever and ruthless character and on the other hand we have seen her as a caring and sympathizing person (at least when it comes to her Preserver). Somehow I feel a bit sorry for Redpike. He has so no chance. ;)

Boy, these guys are fascinating! It's really fun to see what a contrast the trolls' world is with that of the elves. I like how this shows us Thumbprint's deviousness, and her protectiveness towards Trickleclaw.

Glories.
I have to say. I am really eager to see more of Thumbpringt and her plan here. This was brilliant Chris. I love how tangled this is. These kind of story can't be explored within a family like surrounding like the elves therefore I'm glad we have the trolls here who have the possibility to go into this kind of intrigue.
Love Thumbprint here. She's really cunning and I kinda feel for Bludgeon. The interaction between them was great. Also loved top see why he fears the Preserver. Great work keep it up!

This was such a fantastic follow up to the story where we first met Trickleclaw! :) I really enjoyed the intrigue, and the sense that Thumbprint is a very intelligent and sly troll!

I'm starting to really like the troll stories. I love seeing their political plots, and social conduct. Its really neat especially in comparison to the elves, or even what we've seen of the humans.

Oh, I so love troll stories - it's so fascinating how developed they are and how much politics and intrigues are going on between them! Also, I love that the women are obviously on the same level as the men and not confined to cooking and mump-bearing. Troll gender equality, who'd have thought?
I almost feel sorry for Bludgeon here; despite his high rank he's just a pawn in Thumbprint's plans. And I especially liked the last sentence, playing with her name.
