I really liked seeing this clash of stubbornness. :) It was a nice touch how Fadestar hasn't jumped in skill so far yet as to be able to make incredibly soft leathers, which feels realistic and gives her room to grow (as I'm sure she'll master that too!). It was nice to see her and Otter interacting especially regarding how the disagreement was handled.

Clever Fadestar! Always trust the tanner, I say XD They know best what clothes suit what weather. Love how Otter was proven wrong without there being a big affair made out of it.

Yes, what I really liked best about this story was the way it showed us both Otter and Fadestar "becoming" their adult selves... and what stubborn and confident people they are. :) But the fact that they're YOUNG adults still very much comes through, and clearly, their similarity in stubbornness was going to make them butt heads. I like that Fadestar kind of "won" in the end, but she doesn't rub it in. And Otter looks very dashing. :)

I liked the most here that Fadestar resisted the temptation to rub it in Otter's face that she was right but simply offered him her help. I really really liked that touch :) It shows that she truly has matured.
But haha. I knew she was proud and stubborn and this shows once more that she is.
Otter's stubbornness and his over confidence in his skills here regard of his resistance against cold was kind of amusing. Otter through being the oldest of the young adults seems to often be the one who has the most to learn about how things are. ^^

Also liked the pride Fadestar put in her craft and that she felt offended when he said something about tough leather. I'm sure he didn't mean to criticize her skill yet I could see where she was coming from here XD

Otter... such a stubborn streak to him. I'm glad that Fadestar had a way to get him into something warmer that didn't make him feel shamed. :) Good, too, that he wasn't so proud as to let himself turn into a popsicle.

Otter is gonna become a well-dressed young fellow, even despite himself! This is a delightful fic, Linda -- and I love the illo as well!

Haha! I enjoyed this story. It really gives you a look at what Otter's personality is like. I definitely didn't realize before this just how stubborn he is, actually I didn't realize how stubborn both of them are.
I really like how it shows that Fadestar had warned him before hand that it may not be warm enough. :)

This is a cute story Ė and Iím glad that it played into something Iíve wondered about: With Otterís trademark little clothing, how does he survive the winter? Nice to know that Fadestar isnít deterred easily and saved him from getting frostbite!

I really liked to see how Fadestar grew up and how natural it is to see her in a tanners position. Nice interaction.

Hey!! I'm the first----lalalalal.....er...
Soooo-- I wanted to say this was just so cute and warm. Good reading for a winter day. I love the interaction between the two and how as peers they relate to each other. Very fine indeed.
