This was genius, and so fun to read!! I love tribe stories from the "last" generation where old/dead and new/alive characters intermingle. Liked the visual of Honey and Nightstorm on either side of Whitestag... clearly the tribe's favorite since Riskrunner. And why Starskimmer trusts Coyote to babysit is beyond me... (Bad mother!) LOL

OH MY! I had a good laugh while reading this story. It is amazing. The colourful way you describe interactions, situations etc is really Great.
I love the way Honey and Nightstorm fall away as well. The differences you introduced in even just that simple reaction from them shows great research and knowledge of the characters :)

This story is filled with brilliant bits -- watching Notch and Willow cook up a scheme is always a delight -- but I think my favorite thing abotu this is the look it gives us at Whitestag. He's a character who is sort of created by a hodge-podge of views from the perspective of others, and here we see him from the jaundiced viewpoint of those who don't like him, which I find fascinating. He's a character type whom we don't really have one of in the Holt now, and a piece like this kind of makes me realize that it's somewhat of a loss for us... although I always keep thinking that he is also a type who is easier to take in small doses, so maybe it's better for us that he only exists in the past. ;-)

Oh, Notch. Never assume that a two-year-old doesn't need supervision just because she's busy with her dolls XD Of course, he _would_ be able to turn something like this into a prank! I'd be interested to see what Starskimmer's reaction to all this was...

Stars, I was giggling all the way through this! And Notch's interaction with Beetle was great; all the way from his panic when he caught her eating something that might not be good for her, to his joyful manipulation of her with the hilarious "who's your hero"-exchange. Glorious!

This was just brilliant!
I so LOVE the interactions here. The planing and plotting between Willow and Notch was great and how they get to their pranks in this kind by accidentally stumbling over the perfect weapon.
They really weren't to found on Whitestage, eh? I can see why from their POV. I love that. The rivalry between different minds. Just great. That picture of little Beetle clinching to Whitstage in best and most innocent and loving intention is just so cute and hilarious. The Picture of Nightstorm and Honey falling away after playing willing servants for a while... great.
Also love Rainpace being the one in the trio looking past the "fun" part in it and seeing where it can get harmful for all involved. He really was their control factor. Brace yourself tribe when he hasn't got the time anymore to be that guy!

Absolutely great. Loved it!

I think I had the opening scene for this fic in limbo for at least a year and a half, maybe two years... it was a FUN fun fun premise of "What if Notch could turn little Beetle into a walking WMD?" But transitioning from the set-up to the follow-though was TOUGH!!! A big things to Lyn and Stacy for hanging in there with me and being so patient!

This is such a funny story, though I can't say it was good of Coyote to use his younger sister for a prank. Then again there is very little off limits to him if he really wants it. Though I do agree that Whitestag really doesn't agree with all the deep praise.

*laughs* Oh, this was delightful! Little Beetle obviously started her fascination with beetles (and her taste for them!) early, and the idea that it would give her absolutely horrible breath is too funny. And even funnier that Willow and Notch use it to play a prank on Whitestag! I absolutely love seeing all those little rivalries and relationships in the tribe being explored. I want to see more of that!

Haha, this story is so funny! I really like how Whitestag is portrait as a superman pampered with success, and that some tribe members don´t like that at all.
Also - of course - love the interaction between the former trio here, or better the nonchalance of their friendship.
I still wonder if Laughter got her adult name from this incident. :D

I LOVE this story! :) It's one of my favorites about little Laughter/Beetle. :) She is SO CUTE - LOVE the dress she's wearing (though there's no illo, I hope someone will do one one day), LOVE that she's dancing, and singing. LOVE her innocence as a participant in the prank! :) There's nothing about this that I don't like.
