I love how Honey wants to be selfless for selfish reasons!! You know, it takes time to evolve!! LOL! And I am so happy with Windburn smiling at Foxtail and putting his arm around her shoulders! The ONLY good thing that came from Wispersilk's death! Everyone is evolving!

Interesting story. It shows many of the changes that have taken place recently in Honey, Foxtail and Windburn. I agree with other comments here, the story shows us that neither Honey or Foxtail are just "bad" characters but have so much more to their personalities! And the look into Willows and Beetles relationship was funny, it's so typical for Beetle and her curiousity that she wants to be the guinea pig for Willow!

I really appreciated the various undercurrents to this story -- both Honey and Foxtail have many sides to their natures, so it's hard to ascribe their reactions to just one thing; there's a lot going on with both of them, which means that it's not as simple as saying that one is being "good" and the other "bad". And I also really like the creative solution of getting Willow to help. It's really good to have that detail addressed.

Interesting to see Honey be the "good guy", being patient with Foxtail and doing her best to help with Cinder. I haven't read much about her before her Recognition to Greenweave, but this story a glimpse of other parts of her personality, which always is nice.

I'm hesitant to agree here with the most, that Honey has "changed". I think she just gains back her better side that she lost during her time with Greenweave and her conflict with their relationship. Honey was portrait before her recognition as being perfectly able to be sweet and caring. And I think her way of being selfless still is tinted to be acknowledged of being that. Which is a very complicated and twisted view if you think about it. I like that touch though. It makes for an interesting personalty. I honestly think she wants to be a better person but her own needs still are tangled in her way to care for others which is not necessarily bad. Just not as selfless as she'd and us would want to be.

Like that outcome of this and the little view into a different view of the relationship between Foxtail and Windburn such as Foxtail's possessive behaviors about her brother. This story has a few very interesting things going on.

If I'd have to critic one thing about it it's that I wished yiou'd taken more time to explore the second "act" It felt very rushed while reading and I'd wished to linger a bit longer in the atmosphere coming up.

But altogether I like the idea behind this and hope to see more of that experiment ^^

The start of this story makes my nose wrinkle. I think that Honey was still being selfish in a way, just looking for way to make her seem like a good person. I don't know, maybe I've just read too many stories where she is mean. :P I'm happy that Willow was willing to try, and Beetle was such a willing participant. It was sweet to see the end of this story, like their relationship might have just grown alittle bit stronger.

Honey has definitely started her growth. Even if she still casts it in terms of getting approval from the tribe, she still thinks of these things and thinks of how she can help Windburn. She shows honest affection and kindness to Cinder. It's wonderful to see those first few steps as she really starts to expand and smile... Speaking of smiles, thank you for the small deft touch to Windburn and Foxtail's relationship there. Those two are also deeply conflicted and working on relearning their own lives!

I have been wodnering how Honey would deal with Foxtail during the time she lived with Windburn. Thanks for showing us!
I really like your portrait of Honey here. It´s sooo Honey, specially the double intention she has with the idea of Cinder being fed by other than Quick Fang. Great job!
To see an aftermath of Whispersilks´ death is great, too.
The whole story includes so much detail and little, very important informations about the characters, e.g. Beetles curiosity, Willows deep understanding of her lovemate, Foxtails surprise at her fathers show of affections... Wonderful!

I really like seeing how much Honey has changed - she seems to have taken a great step in learning how to put others first (though she still thinks about herself quite a bit, too - but I guess she wouldn't be Honey if she didn't). And even more so, I'm really happy to see that Foxtail and Windburn's relationship is taking a turn for the better! I hope we will see more of these relationships as they develop :).

I'm glad to see the increased warmth between Windburn and Foxtail.
I hope their relationship continues to improve.
