It's lovely to read about lovemates talking things out like this, simple and straightforward, with sense and clarity - emotional turmoil has its place of course, it's what moves drama, but I like this quiet sort of drama. They're elders, they know themselves, and it's wonderful to see them smoothing away rough edges. I think it's good for True Edge that he and Snowfall have let Kestrel in - lets him smooth out a few more rough edges he perhaps won't have touched on otherwise! And Kestrel as well, after so many years, still has emotional development to do. A real pleasure to see them both at it.

It's always interesting to see just two members of a three-mating interact. I like how the maybe-conflict that was in the air panned out into a quick bonding moment.

Aww, this is a touching little piece! :) I found it really neat how the mention of what Snowfall would probably want was a bit of a jumping point for the conversation between these two. Like, she's still somewhat the glue holding the threemating together -- yet at the end of this story, Kestrel and True Edge seem as close as any other lovemates or lifemates I read about in RTH. :) Beautiful!

As many others have said, it's great to see these two interact without Snowfall - and the way they can talk about their issues and accept each other is really touching, and I think something a lot of couples might envy. It's definitely more complicated when there are three personalities involved, and it's great to see how they can come off as mature and strong, yet still be so tender.

This was a good story. It was really a great little interaction between Kestrel and True Edge, without Snowfall being involved. I really enjoyed seeing what their relationship has turned into. :)

Shame on me that I didn't comment on this yet ... But you know I love this! It's really great to see the two of them together and the way their relationship has evolved. It's kind of interesting that they are all such emotionally guarded characters (Snowfall too, though we didn't see that here) and how that plays out in their way to deal with the difficulty of the forced pregnancy process they are going through. Like Mel said, it's very reminiscent of what RL couples trying to conceive and failing go through. Really like the realism of that!

And of course, the conclusion is just wonderful :)!

I like the sense that there is still some negotiating between these two -- that even after several years of being in this three-mating, the two of them are not quite as close to each other as they are to Snowfall, and yet, there IS a bond there. That's why it's good to get to see them together, without Snowfall there.

In this story you can see how True-Edge and Kestrel are similar, and how that might be hard on Snowfall. It's good that they are drawing together during an experience that could just as easily break them apart. Like everyone else, I am anxious to see how this works out for them.

I really really like this look at Kestrel and True Edge. It's so good to see more of the two of them, and to see them slowly becoming closer!

Very interesting. In my head the threesome was always one unit, one mind. It hadn`t occured to me that it was nearly solely based on two peoples´ love for Snowfall. That fact makes it very dynamic and interesting!
I really liked to see how different the two of them are and which difficulties they had to face in their threemating. They must have come a long way from an arrangement to a true, strong bond. Lovely!

The first thought that came was... Like a couple trying to get a baby these three seem to be tingling between disappointment and hope. The one thing a doc always says is the couple shall relax and it never is easy.

It's cute to see how through the bound grows stronger. And Kestrel's final conclusion made me all "D'awwww..."

I'm so eager to see where this storyline in general leads to! But I'm happy to see that the three are growing closer together - especially Kestrel and True Edge, who do not share the bond of recognition. It was sweet to see that True Edge worries about Kestrel and denies his own feelings regarding the failed attempts (though I'm sure he'd bite my head off if I'd call him sweet to his face :))
