Awkward City!! Erg, I can't imagine wanting a child so badly I'd have a family member help/watch. Small Holt indeed! :P

Poor Willow, no success and having to watch her grandmother joining; I know elves are much more accepting of sex as part of life, but that had to be awkward at first. Sad that there was no results, but One-Leg and Starskimmer sure stopped the mood from getting to sobern!

I like this story. It was sad, but not all together unexpected. You can't expect to get it right the first time, right? Though I can completely understand the feeling of being a little disappointed. I have to say I did enjoy when Starskimmer and One-Leg came in, it added a bit of fun to the whole story. Nicely written.

I really like the ending to this, with One-Leg and Starskimmer's entrance, and how their boisterous attitude lightens the mood of what could have been a somewhat melancholy story. Good choice on that. :)

I'm just glad that this group of elves isn't one to give up... that although the first attempt failed, they won't quit now! :) It will be fun to see them keep trying... and hopefully, one day, to succeed!

It will be interesting to see if they succeed! While this first time was disappointing, Willow is still young and learning and hopefully will continue to mature into her healing powers. I love the little cameo of Starskimmer and One-Leg, randy pair that they are, as well.

I only can add up o the voices saying I liked the realism here. The first try was not the on... and through I'm sad fro the three of them and sympathies with Willow I agree with True-Edge. It would have been too lucky if the first try.

I like how ... awkward the first bit feels until Snowfall steps in and tries to lift their spirits and take away the pressure. (at a side note .. One-Lg you just crack me up!) I was somehow glad it was touched that having your granddaughter into his would feel a little odd even for elves.

I also liked the touch of One-Leg and Starskimmer in the end :) It really gave the whole thing a hopeful note ... and holly mother elves MUST have better stamina then us puty humans.

Most of all I liked that even for elves being watched in intimate moments can be uncomfortable sometimes. The issue of Willow and Kestrel being relatives was nicely worked out.
And great that you kept it realistic. Would have been much luck if it would have worked out at the first time.

I'm still sorry I didn't manage to contribute to this one :( ... But you three did a terrific job! I really like how believable their nervousness is, not because of human hang-ups but because that is a huge and rare thing to do even for elves. And I absolutely loved the addition of One-Leg and Starskimmer at the end - for one, because I'm really curious about the tribe's reaction to their endeavour and second, because it provides some comic relief and enables the story to end on a more positive note. I don't doubt they will practice a lot for the next try :p!

I like this story, because it's very realistic. I like that it doesn't work the first time they try to get a child outside recognition. It's more believable that it needs more than one attempt to get pregnant, especially for a young and inexperienced healer like Willow.
I look forward to the following stories about this threesome and their wish for a child!

Touching story. I feel so sad for Willow, Snowfall, Kestral and True-Edge. This story brings up all my academic questions of how elf biology is different from human and what exactly Recognition does.
