Oh, I HATE when friends have a reaction to what you just said that's totally uncomfortable!! I'm all, Did Crackle have a crush on Fadestar? Is she upset for her sister? Does SHE like Pathmark? Oh good Lord!! LOL

This is such a sweet glimpse into everyday teenage elf life. I really like Fadestar's pragmatic outlook on what to hope for - and what to not set her heart on. I really love the back-and-forth here with Crackle. and the way that even the audience doesn't get to know what's going on in Crackle's head as the conversation flows.

Sweet teenage girl talk! How cute! I felt transfered back in time. ;) The girl's friendship and their different characters are very well protrayed here.
But this story made me utterly curious for what was wrong with Crackle... is there a sequel to this?

This was a great story! Fadestar and Crackle's friendship reminded me of Skywise and Cutter -- their conversions are very open and honest- and seems sure that their friendship will continue no matter what experiances they may encounter and that they seem willing to share those experiances with each other. They feel like sisters in all but blood ;)

This is a really great story. I love how you show how complicated a teenage relationship can be, and how difficult it can be to decipher another teen's reactions, let alone Crackle's! I found this story really interesting, great job! :)

Ooh, nicely done! I love the way the story gets more and less tense, rather than just simply building to a dramatic climax. Very realistic. ^_^ Crackle and Fadestar really contrasted nicely with each other, as well, like a deep, bright red oil paint sitting next to a silvery lavender chalk. (That's the image I got forsome reason!) I almost wonder about these two, whether they might end up furmates/lovemates eventually? ;) or, they may just stay totally platonic friends -- either way I love how you showed their friendship here!

I really like all the various undercurrents to this story, and how very much it pins down the way teenage girls interact with each other, and with their own changing views of adult things like "love". It does seem very real.

Reading about these two interacting was very interesting - the dialogue and reactions felt genuine, and the mood was perfect; not quite a fight, but not quite a calm, friendly conversation either. And the subject felt fluid while still staying on topic, like real conversations often are.

This was really cute. The conversation between both Crackle and Fadestar seemed so age-appropriate here for those two. I also loved how, as usual, Crackle's unique thought processes really shine through.

This had such a nice, full.... teenage growing up feeling. This is real girltalk, isn't it? And I so like to see these two interacting and musing.
It's so warm and nice and fluffy.
On a side note I just love that Fadestar still is waving to the stars. I really enjoyed this detail being picked up again.
I am curious how this will go on :)

This is such a sweet story! I like the uncertainty of Crackle here. Looking forward to more of moments like this.

I had to smile at this one. Ah--to be a teenager....yeah, no. New feelings, new experience a clean slate.
I like the interaction between the two, very charming and warm. Nicely done. :)

Aww, that was very cute! I love the comfortable feeling between the two friends and that they are able to read each other so well, even though it doesn't all go smoothly. And it's just so cute to see them experience their first budding feelings :).

This is great! Glad to see stories about our younger elves' budding romances as well as the (possible) development of inherited magical abilities. Makes me wonder if any of Starskimmer's brood will inherit rockshaping. I really enjoyed this :)
