I love how Meep just casually throws the ruby back in the water as if there were a hundred more! LOL!! She's not even old enough to be mischievous about it!! Sparkle's expression: Priceless!! Adore this!

Haha, this is funny! I like this look on the relation between little Chicory and Goldspice. I wonder how it is for the elves, when your uncles and aunts can be younger than you!

And now wonder Chicory and Crackle like each other. They are clearly one of a kind! You can see her excitement with "slimy things" and it's very sweet and childlike. But oh; I can so feel with Sparkle in the end! I think the fun ended for her at this point!

Ah of course Meep is looking for things in the mud, though clearly Sparkle is a better sport about it then her mother would have been, or even myself I would have been furious with Meep if she'd done that to me.

Yay! My first collab story for RTH! :) Thanks so much for asking me to write this with you, Lyn, it was a large part of how welcomed I felt here as a new member by the group!

It was so much fun figuring out the story as we went along, and I think it was a classic case of two heads being better than one.

And thanks for all the nice comments, everyone, I'm glad you liked our story. :D

The first time I read this, I really did laugh out loud at the picture I had of Goldspice's face when little Chicory just tossed that ruby back in the river! Such a kid thing to do... poor Goldspice! Different views of what's valuable, indeed. :D

It's so easy to forget how Chicory and Goldspice are related... :) It was fun writing this piece!

*laughs* Oh, poor Goldspice! Chicory certainly had very different priorities than her (and still has, I think). This was very cute, a great slice-of-life story and a wonderful way to showcase two very different obsessions.

I had to laugh toward the end of this. I really had to laugh. Poor Goldspice. I love this. It's such a cute little story. A nice moment of two elves we don't see that often together. Just love how ... almost hyper Chicory seems here and how Glodspice seems so calm... yet nerved at the end.

I think this a fantastic moment you've both captured here -- and best of all, it's a moment that I could see happening today, just the same as when both Chicory and Goldspice were much younger. LOVE IT!
