"So precious, so important and vaguely familiar..." Oh my goodness, can we get a psychotherapist in the Holt?? Father issues, a lovemate Recognizing your aunt (well, it would bother ME (LOL)), your friend becoming a Responsible Adult... I bet she wishes she never got out of bed! On some unconscious level, of course! ... And how symbolic is the missing hat??

I really like how this is as much a look at how fatherhood has changed Rainpace, in the eyes of one of his close friends, as it is a look at all the complicated emotions that an infant and her doting father stir in Foxtail. It's good to see her recognizing that, as well, and consciously, perhaps, trying to change her own reactions, or at least, make room within herself to respond to her friend's joy and pride.

Aww ... This is both very cute and a bit sad at the same time. There is really a lot going on here, and I can't say what I like best, the insights into Rainpace as a father and little Glow's characterisation, the friendship between them or Foxtail's struggle with her own issues. I really feel for her here :(. But I am glad to see that their friendship is still going strong and she is getting to know Glow better! Great work!

How darling this was. I really like how much you can put into a story, Angie. The characterization of little Glow, Rainpace as a father and how he is in this role, the old friendship between Foxtail and him, Foxtail's struggle with herself and her role in the tribe and her father's heart. And so much more.

I really like how real this feels and somehow it made me sad to see how much Foxtail sees in Rainpace as a father and yet only can think about what she has been missing by watching him :(

Aww! I love Foxtail having to deal with Rainpace as a dad; I can definitely sympathize, it can be weird when your friends suddenly become parents instead of just playmates. I think this story is an awesome illustration of that, and little Glow and the hands-of-doom are so cute; and I'm glad she has an extra 'aunt' looking out for her and Chicory.

Angie, you weave stories so well... at first it seemed just light-hearted and fun, but then... the parallels for Foxtail, and the differences.... almost made me cry. :) Keep up the great work!

Told you before I just love the interaction between those two old friends here, the tenderness and familiarity. And I really feel for Foxtail. Great character development! I am curious what the future will bring.
