So funny! Poor Rill with Crackle as a big sister! He will never be sure if she's making up something or if it's the truth. And his solution for detect a lie is great. Suddendusk has a reputation as an anxious father, no?
I think you showed a sibling-relationship really good and I wonder if Rill will ever be able to give her right back. (Without the biting of course...)

Crackle really deserved that bite! Will be interesting to see how they interact when Rill is an adult.

I love this story, it shows a bit of Rill and Crackle's relationship. I love how he eventually figured out she wasn't being honest with him about one story but then fell right into another one. XD Though I have to say its awesome to see Quick Fang's biting habits go to the next generation.

Really love this story. I get the sense that when Rill is all grown up, Crackle had better watch out, because he's going to remember days like this! It makes you foresee a brother-sister rivalry that we'll get to enjoy watching for years to come.

This really strikes as true to life ;) How many younger sibs have wanted to do *anything* to impress their older brothers/sisters, and how many elder sibs have wanted nothing more than just to get their younger brothers and sisters into it ;) I loved how this all turned out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this story... it just puts a smile on my face! :) Crackle definitely deserved what she got, but kept on giving, anyway! :) I hope that Rill can find a really truly good story to tell Crackle at some point... and that Willow doesn't mind healing a few bites!

That reminded me sooo much of my own quarrels with my big brother. :D Siblings can be so mean to each other.
Very entertaining, little story... and very believable. I like!

LOL! Oh man, but ain't Crackle just a rare piece of work? As always, Joan -- your writing is an absolute joy to read, and I come out of this wondering if I feel worse for Quick Fang (you just made me feel sympathy for Quick Fang, you deserve a Golden Wolf Award stat!), or for little Rill...

Ah! Being the youngest of three siblings really makes me empathize with poor little Rill. The desire to both best and impress his big sis is so sweet, and I love how he sticks of for himself, even if (or perhaps especially if) he does it teeth first.

I love how he knows he's being lied to, but just cannot stop leaning in to hear more. Reminds me of little me so very much! Lovely yarn you've made here, m'dear, just lovely!

hehe yeah siblings! I really enjoyed this story Joan. You have such a way to pull these kind of stories off and make the interaction feel so natural and real.
I agree Crackle seems to enjoy her role as big sister a lot and I like how Rill figgured a part of his sister out all himself and yet can fall for some of her stories :)

Hehe, ah, siblings! This was so cute! Despite his years Rill is able to hold his ground against Crackle - to an extent :). And if all else fails, there are still some sharp teeth to resort to XD! I really liked seeing how Rill is not unlike his mother in that aspect :p.
And oh, Crackle is surely enjoying her big sister role! I hope we'll see more of that!
