I really liked seeing how the relationship between Brightwood and Moss was the same, and yet different, after her unwrapping. This story portrayed that dynamic very realistically. This story also reaffirms how wonderful it is that Brightwood still has many tribemates that she knew before her wrapping, including her Recognized, in her life, thus making it a bit easier to re-adjust to being a part of the tribe.

Brightwood making her way back into the tribe is an interesting thing to behold. The way she goes about it so differently than the others, with so much more cheer, even if there are darker parts of her awakening, is quite heartwarming; makes the idea of wrapstuffing the wounded ones a little less painful and a little more optimistic.

Oh this is neat. I really like seeing how she remembers Moss, and how some of those traits she remembered still exist in him but there are so many things that to her are new about him as well. I'm sure his rutting is just the same as before just with a few new tricks! XD This was a fun read.

And in contrast to the story that followed it (since I'm working backwards here for the moment) -- it's great that this story showcases *other* sides to Moss, including reminding us of his more... feckless (?) youth (in Brightwood's eyes/memory), and the playfulness that makes it hard to remember sometimes that he's an elder. I really liked how willing Brightwood was to pin him down on the subject of Goldspice. Sometimes the newest and freshest eyes on a situation see the most clearly. :)

This is such a sweet story... had me laughing, and at one point, had me in tears.
I especially like the "sleepiness in their blood" line... and how mischevious Brightwood and Moss are together. :)

You made me laugh! Really nice story with lots of humor. I just love Moss... and the way you depict him. The relationship between the two of them is so warm and friendly. They fit together very well.

Thanks Hannah! I really love this little story. =) It's a great look at their relationship. I like the hints toward a lifemating with Goldspice, too! Very nice.

A nice little look into Brightwood's relationships with old friends :) And a nice look at Moss as well.
Hehe .. Is this fore shadowing? Will Goldspice and Moss finally go the full distance and lifemate? :P
