Thornbow is the best "family man" in the whole tribe! The way he takes on his sister's pain as his own and defends his niece are amazing! Sometimes I don't think they (before and later) appreciate how solidly in their corner he always is!

I quite enjoyed this story, how it went from Thornbow being so furious, to his closest friend and him in the wrapstuff den. I can see why he would be this way, it makes sense. I also really like how its more from Windburn's point of view, it gives it a different look then what it would have been if it had been from Thornbow's.

Thornbow's outburst felt justified and his apology at the end showed how not selfish it was, merely overwhelmed with how unfair things have been of late. The interaction with Notch and Windburn was interesting, as was Windburn's flashback to his failed romanced with Honey. She never has luck in love, does she?

Lovely work! As always, your fic make for a wonderful read. You always bring such sharp, respectful, and *twisty* insights into the characters you write about. And this particular story is twice the usual delight since you're tackling Windburn & Thornbow here. We've never seen enough of these two together, and their respective reactions to Honey's coming out of wrapstuff is wonderful to see.

I think I was most surprised to find out about Honey's fling w/ Windburn. And then to see Thornbow arguing for Honey... and how it affected things around the time of the unwrapping.

I'm so glad to see the conclusion for "Escape Plan", which was written so long ago! And I really like how this brought Thornbow in and showed his strong connections to what's going on. In particular, I liked not only the idea that Honey and Windburn had had a fling in the past, but seeing Thornbow acting as his sister's partisan. It's good to see that there's someone who will take Honey's side!

This is such a powerful, emotional story - rich and layered and all the more gripping because we see Thornbow, such a steady and calm elf, in a slip. The emotion and love he has in this story breaks your heart.

I really liked seeing more of Thornbow here, especially in regard to the friendship he and Windburn have. Starting to see a little more of what makes him tick :)

YAY! More Thornbow! I love him so much, and its wonderful to finally start to see him as a more three-dimensional character. I always wondered about his and Windburn's friendship, we see it stated in their CISes, but rarely to we see it in action. It is so delicious and painful how tangled things get here at Rivertwine.

Poor Honey. Now that I know about her history with Windburn, I wonder how things will shape up for her when she moves in to help Windburn in the after math of Whispersilk's death.

Oh! I enjoyed this. A different look at Honey. How good to know that there was so much love and longing for Honey, but so sad that it was always attended by doubts and bitter memories and fear. It somehow speaks so well for how Honey is.
It was nice to see the friendship of Thronbow and Windburn like this and also to see Thonbow being cornered about Dreamflight.

A really cool Story. And I really wondered what was happening after Dreamflight was "put aside". Great. Love it Joan!

I somehow really felt for Thonrnbow. I can relate to him so well. I really liked the bow-string picture for his temper. :)
