Thanks for this insight into the hunting techniques elves use together with their wolf friends. One can clearly see that these wolves are no normal wolves, obeying their elves and listening to their resoning.
Nevertheless wolfish instict takes over at the end, even in Snowfall.

This story is a great insight how the wolfriders hunt alone (just with a wolf for company). I was a bit surprised first too, when Snowfall picked "big game" for her sole hunt, but her interaction with her wolffriend is depicted very good too and I like how eager Slychase is to chase the prey; very good insight too here in the mind of a wolf.
(Still I wonder, how often Wolfriders go to hunt alone and how this fit with the concept of organised hunts...)

Imager with Melanie- you write hunting scenes so well! The first time I read this I was just so happy at the reminder that Snowfall has the huntress side of her, too. This time I found myself. , for whatever reason, surprised by her choice of prey while hunting solo with her wolf. It's a great reminder that our elves are strong and bold and that Snowfall is amdormidae elf woman! Great writing.

I liked the "buddy" aspect of this story, just showing a wolfrider out doing something that she loves in her wolf's company. And it looks like Slychase is growing up just a bit! Maybe become a little more reliable? A nice thought. :)

Yay, I'm so glad to see this up :D! I'm very happy to see this side of Snowfall depicted - and so much more realistically than I ever could :p. And I love seeing Slychase getting some attention, too!

Thank you so much again :)!

I like seeing this other side of Snowfall. We know she's a hunter, but I think a lot of us identify with her more nurturing side, so it was neat to see her tracking some prey for a reminder!

I'm deeply amazed how well you write down hunting scenes. It sounds all reasonable and as if it really would work like that :D
On another note I love to see Snowfall's huntress side and how well she interacts with her wolf here. Very nice piece of the way of hunting by the wolfriders :)
