This is so very true ~ shamans and some spiritual people will leave candies/treats to the deities. (Hindus leave candies to Ganesha, etc.)... The fact that the human half-knows something's out there, and that Moss took the candies ~ which really WERE for him ~ was just AWESOME!!

What a neat story, interesting ideas, lots going on and I really like the two POV, elf and human. Great descriptions for smell - I like how this triggered memories for Moss about Goldspice.

Bomo and Coriander, my two most favorite humans! I love the glimpses we get of the humans and their lives and worries. Bomo's special connection with the elves is also interesting - I'm greatly curious of where that storyline is headed.

I thought this was so interesting! I never would have thought of a story like this. Though I must say, the description of the sweets sounded rather mouth-watering to me :)

:) So enjoyed co-writing this story! :) (I don't think Orange Trees will grow v. well in our climate, but w/ the three plantshapers, maybe it's possible... Lol). It's been fun trying to flesh out some of the humans!

And wow... to be compared to PB&Chocolate! Wow... what a wonderful compliment. Thanks, Whit, from both of us!

This is a GREAT addition to the ongoing learning-about-the-humans storyline! I'm so glad that you guys decided to show the parallel threads of elf and human stories, here. We get to learn more about the humans, even as Moss is also doing so, though we're learning different things. I like how Moss's discoveries and his treasure at the end also hint of other knowledge that will unfold for the elves. More please, definitely! :)

Oh, I really liked seeing this story told from two points of view, the human and the elfin! It's especially great to see more of Coriander. Poor woman, I so feel for her ... But I was glad to see that Thunderchild is not as cold and childish as he first appeared to be - if only he had reached out to her properly!

And I always like seeing elders act a bit like a cub ;). I can relate to Moss so well - oranges!

I have liked slowly learning about the humans through these glimpses the stories featuring them have given. I'm particularly wondering what the future holds for Coriander!

You have done a great job in making us care about characters who, really, haven't had all too much exposure as of yet. Nice job :)

Ohhh! My mouth watered here. ORANGES! Yumy. I really could imagine the smell and the taste on my tongue.- Great. It's so nice to see Moss the overgrown child here :D I can relate to him XD

But ... sigh. I just want to shake Coriander and all the more Thunderchild. It's so tragically and ... realistic what's going on between them :( It really makes my heart bleed. And .. it's a good example how different human and Elven relationships work in this world.

Yay! I hope the orange trees can grow properly, it'd be so cool to have oranges. And how about orange wine? I'm sure Starskimmer could figure something out... ;)

I loved Moss' contemplation about the humans and how he was tempted by the oranges' scent, combined with the description of the humans receiving them and how they treat each other in the process. I feel a bit for Coriander, she seems so sad :(

Yay oranges! I love the description of the oranges and candy and the tastes and smells of them. Wonder if Moss is going to share with Goldspice heh! Also ... wonder what happens if they introduce candy to the elf cubs ... ooooh the tummy aches!
