I don't think I've ever seen Suddendusk agitated! Well that's before he had a late bloomer cub!! Interesting that Sweetvine didn't realize the wasp nest wasn't a hive though. And now we know how Wasp got his name!

The wolfbonding truly is a mistery, right? I like the conclusion in this story here, that both sides have to chose each other that a bond can form itself, it's an interesting idea.

Ah, a little bit of the mystery that is wolf-bonding reveiled! Greatly enjoyed reading this - the mood was quiet and even though Sweetwine's near encounter with the wasps was dramatic, it fit with the over all tone.

Holly, thanks for giving me a starting point for this and letting nematode it!! It was a lot of fun, though I was initially hard-pressed to figure out where I wants dto go with it.

The other thing I enjoyed was brushing up against something that seems easy to take for granted- that wasps and bees are a real hazard.

What, I was convinced I had commented on this story already 0.o?

I really enjoyed having a look at a wolf bonding that is not entirely commonplace without it being a really dramatic thing - there's some drama but it's not about the bond they form :). Instead that was rather quiet and, for lack of a better word, private. I really like the idea that both elf and wolf made a choice to form the bond!

And it's probably totally inappropriate but as I wrote in my comment to the picture it sparked, "I choose you, Wasp!" made me imagine Blacksnake as a Pokmon trainer and that made me laugh XD!

Thank you for writing this, Lyn! You took my completely nebulous ideas and turned them into a real story, making Blacksnake's bonding with Wasp far more interesting than I had thought to come up with on my own. :) I really liked how this brought up the element of the wolves having a real choice in the matter, too. Blacksnake and Wasp definitely seem suited to each other, but I liked that they had to come around to that conclusion, rather than it being obvious to them at the start.

I liked this! It's neat to know that important moments like those featured in this story aren't necessarily cut and dried like we might assume they would be!

I agree. What I like the most about it is the questiion "How dose it work". And I like how Blacksnake is dwelling over the idea which of the wolves would suit for him. A great story about bounding :)
This showed me how much Blacksnake and Wasp really suit. I can't tell why but it dose!

I loved the insight of wolf bonding, and the discussions it might spark. I always wondered how it worked exactly, thinking that it was usually the wolf that chose and the elf accepted. Clearly, from this story, it's a little bit of both :)
