It makes sense that if you can't be as physical you would be more crafty by default! Glad Fadestar didn't back down! But then, Whispersilk would be easier to deal with than Snowflake/Quick Fang!

Can't be easy being sickly all the time, especially when one of your friends is that insenitive to it. Nightstorm's well meaning offer of company and Fadestar's decision to contribute to the tribe by becoming Whispersilk's apprentice were very interesting.

Haha! Good job Fadestar! I love how this story starts out kind of sad for her, but this it turns really stubborn and bright. I love the two on one situation that it turns into with Nightstorm on Fadestar's side. Good stuff.

It's great to get this story so that we have a sense of what Fadestar's former life was like that isn't JUST all "and she sat there alone because she wasn't well enough to play". It totally makes sense that if her ailment made her less active than others, the tribe would still find a way for her to DO things, even sedentary things. This just makes so much sense. And I'm also really glad to see a couple of adults who aren't "the usual" or the expected ones (i.e. those related to her) interact with her -- I think it helps to underscore that the whole tribe is interested in the tribe's children.

I like this glimpse of a cub with two adults who aren't related to her. It's nice to see Nightstorm and Whispersilk taking Fadestar under their wing.

I like the interaction between Fadestar and Whispersilk. They somehow seem to find a common ground. And apart from that... the interaction between Nightstorm and Fadestar. It somehow is different but both seems to see the same in the cub.

Also like the simple "I wondered when you would show up" reaction by Whispersilk and the process of learning Fadestar is showing. Great. I can't wait to see more!

Linda, I love seeing you explore what Fadestar's relationships were prior to her going into wrapstuff. Wonderful stuff! And great, too, to see a hint of what her future may lay in hold!!
