Aww, this was so precious! I agree, I loved Fadestar's reaction to the red paint she picked -- and Newt did have an excellent answer! I thought the green was fitting, too. First reason that hit my mind, because of her hunting through green woods, but secondly (of course) because of the plantshaping. :) I thought it was really touching the way they ended up with paint on their faces, too. It seemed to bring them even closer to Brightwood in a way. And that was so neat, that Fadestar "signed" the handprints!

(The random story feature really reveals how many stories I haven't commented on I thought I did 0.o ... I'm sorry, girls!)

This is such a sweet story. I really like how the cubs took a confusing and difficult situation and found something they could do to help. And I thought it was especially great that you showed some details as them smearing paint in their faces - it might look displaced, but it reminds us they are still cubs, even if they had gone through difficult times recently! Great work, altogether!

A very sweet gesture from two very sweet cubs! And Fadestar's idea with the name symbols was clever and fitting.

Such a cute story! Full of vivid imagery, and really well supported by the art in it! I think it's a really sweet interaction between Newt and Fadestar, and great to see them together and so protective of the last wrapped elf.

I really liked this for the way it showed two children responding to a situation that has even the adults tied up in knots -- and showing them coming up with something that THEY can do to cope.

I'm so glad Fadestar and Newt are becoming friends! And I like this look at how they're managing their feelings about having been wrapped and how they're showing such consideration for Brightwood and her baby. :) I really liked the touch of Fadestar being worried about choosing red, and what Newt's response was!
