Looks like shopping with one's Mom LOL! Glad they could compromise on brown and green. I'm on Nightstorm's side, by the way!

I'm sort of on Beetle's side, I like the idea of her in all muted browns, very earthy rather than the bright green. This outfit was a lot of fun though, and I really like the new neckpiece and functional belt! Really cute to see Nightstorm and Beetle together, especially in their discussions, it really gives a good look into each of their motivations for this - and that can apply to other situations too!

*grin* This was a very nice, and lighthearted story! I loved it! ^_^ I really liked seeing Beetle's new outfit introduced this way. So much fun watching the two bicker over colors for it. I could so clearly imagine it! *snicker* I agree, it was so funny and cute that Beetle was still sure of browns at the end! I also loved the reasons *against* her previous outfit for the wordhunting that you included, and how it got in the way and such.

Never argue with your tanner! Always nice to get a look at the elves' everyday lives. I hadn't read much about Beetle and Nighstorm interacting before, so that was new and interesting.

I love seeing fashionista Nightstorm in action like this, and it's fun seeing these two characters interact.

:) Beetle *still* thinks Browns would work, she just hasn't gotten them made yet! And she's also thought about grays and whites for winter word-hunting. She just hesitates to ask for them most of the time.

I really liked getting to see the genesis of Beetle's new look in a story! :) And I particularly like how Beetle has the last word (to the reader), even though she relented to Nightstorm's creative vision.

I liked the creative differences portrayed between Nightstorm and Beetle here. Again, we see so little sometimes of elves and their crafting that it's nice to see them at work. The touch of Nightstorm being very passionate/stubborn about the color choices was very realistic.

It was nice that Beetle was happy with the newer outfit in the end, but it makes me interested to know, given Beetle's perchance for experimentation, if she'll have someone make her a brown outfit, too :)

I really like this piece. Out of all the recent drama it's just a simple little vignette into the elves' life. And, it's great to see Beetle make a change. :)

Hehe, poor Beetle doesn't have much of a chance against Nightstorm's stubbornness, it seems :). Good that she saw that bright colours are not a good idea, though!

Very nice vignette, Lyn!

Hehe that was nice. I like the idea that Nightstorm has such a thick head about her fashion. It's nice to see them interacting. And I like the best the idea of the two arguing about the colors and the stubbornness of Beetle giving the "And it would have worked" at the end through :P
