Ooh, ouch! Poor little naive Dreamflight... enjoy your blissful ignorance a little while longer, and don't grow up too fast! I love how you made it seem like such a perfect, happy family group on the surface, and yet there were obvious tensions just beneath the surface. Greenweave was quiet, almost subdued. And of course, we see Dreamflight's personality already as a cub. She's so sensitive, ready to freak out because a star fell, that concept in very real danger of totally shattering her whole worldview! Easy to see how when more unexpected events happen in her life -- ones closer to home -- she could take them really hard. Nicely written!

"..then what else in her world could change in an instant" <- Great foreshadowing! With things between the three of them being as they are now, I almost forget how Greenweave and Honey must have looked for their daughter when she was a young cub. I especially loved the ending, that really showed her innocence when it came to her parents not-perfect relatioship.

Awww, what a sweet family these three made! Little naive Dreamflight is just too cute! I love how she's so easily distracted from the original topic. Also nice touch having Greenweave braiding Honey's hair.

I think it shows how idyllic Dreamflight *thought* things were. And how she was oblivious to the tensions between her parents.

I like that you can really see in this how the expectations for this family developed, especially for Honey and Dreamflight. It provides a really good contrast with the way we know things went.

Aww, poor cub, horrified that stars die! I liked getting a glance into Greenweave's, Honey's, and Dreamflight's past. It wasn't always that bad, apparently -- loved the comfort between them. It can never go back to what it was, but hopefully, in the future they will all quiet down to sit together again.

I really liked this look into the past. It was interesting to see these three during a 'happier time,' and I really like the answer that was given for why stars fall! Very sweet.

Lovely work! I especially love the analogy of a falling star being like an old wolf, forced out of the pack. Brilliant!

I agree with Mel, that is rather bittersweet, knowing how much her world did change ... Poor Dreamflight :(.

But it is good to see them being happy together, too. Little Dreamflight was a very lively cub, it seems, but you can already see some of who she is today in her, especially her love for the stars. Very sweet, Lyn!

How bittersweet. I like to see this family in happier times, even if there is still a hint of .. hmm.. the imperfection in the long silence in the end between Greenweave and Honey. Through if you just read and don't know what will happen it is just .. as if they were happy. *sigh* So sad and sweet and wonderful.

And it's good to see Honey as a caring mother and happy elf here as well. Poor Dreamflight. It must have been hard to see her "stars" falling apart. :(
