What struck me is that Whispersilk is simultaneously doing all the mothering and crafting she possibly can. The ending brought tears to my eyes. I love how she vows to herself to let Foxtail hold the baby first.

Oh, I loved to get this insight into Whispersilks world, which feels so detached from the real Holt life. She seems to live in her own cravting universe and it is very sweet how she wants to share as much of it with her son as possible.
The descriptions of her dying and weaving are very detailed and interesting, too. I definitely learned something. :)

Oh now this is rather neat. I like how she is doing her projects and at the same time she is working on her child through talking to him. Its really rather sweet in her way.

(Don't give spoiler! Don't give spoiler). Ok...
This brought tears to my eyes, seeing how Whispersilk really tries to do things differently... and also to see her realization of how she didn't do some things right previously. I think this Recognition changed Whispersilk...

I really like this -- Whispersilk is a complex character, and I think this story brought her to life in a really down-to-earth way in which people can relate. Kudos!

Aww, I really like this look at Whispersilk - she's not been explored much in stories, I felt. The details of her work are awesome, and I agree that it's great that she didn't become a perfect mother over night but clearly is trying. Hopefully Foxtail will be able to allow her to make up with her :).

I loved reading about Whispersilk's pregnancy, and how she knows she kinda screwed up with Foxtail. In her own way, she seems to find a way to make it better for her second cub, and hopefully, Foxtail will allow her parents to make it up to her :) We need more Whispersilk stories, yay!

Oh that was so lovely, Joan. I really like to see this look on Whispersilk and how she seems all into weaving and the details and efforts you put in describing it.

I love how round this is. How she starts to bound with the little one and it really made me feel warm and fluffy inside when I came to the end. I also like that she didn't forget to take care of Foxtail's feelings here, even if it seems still a bit hard to do for her.

I really enjoyed reading this piece. It's well-connected and the look into how Whispersilk is dealing with her second pregnancy is fantastic. I especially love the end where Whispersilk finally catches a glimpse of her child through his soul name.

This is a really useful look at what's really going on with Whispersilk -- poignant, in a way, but also kind of hopeful. The tagline is right -- though she and Windburn have vowed to change their ways as parents, I appreciate that this doesn't make Whispersilk into the picture of motherly virtue overnight. She's clearly trying, but it's not going to change who she is.
