I love that these two were such good friends before Recognizing...sort of makes the whole thing seem that much more meaningful. Their banter with each other was absolutely delightful! I liked coming back to this story after knowing what happens to them in the future and what their cub ended up being like :)

This is such a sweet recognition so fitting of Rainpace and Chicory. Its so amazing how a simple fishing trip can turn into something so much more. I feel kind of sad for Rainpace though, thinking that she would ever regret recognizing him. I couldn't imagine regretting that. Its a very good story, and the images add to it very nicely.

Such an adorable Recognition! I loved the interaction between the two of them, the build-up of not having seen each other one-on-one for a long time and the initial confusion - it was all an interesting read.

I so like the concept of two very close friends and furmates Recognizing. It is so lovely and amusing to see how they are with eachother.
But I marvel at the fact that they were able to make it to their den before they give into the needs of Recognition. ;)

Lovely story!
I love the progression - from old friends reuniting, to playful couple, to recognition. It's nice to see them accept it - and each other so sweetly. :) Very playful, lighthearted fic - made me smile!

Oh, I dunno about all the people not expecting it. I had kind of a suspicion as the story went along but it still played out nicely. Not too heavy and not too over done. It's good to see some more cubs to be born also. I'm wondering now what the child will be like and how these two will adapt to parenthood.

Good stuff! Their Recognition is such an unexpected & unanticipated event, and yet they both handle it without High Drama. Love that! I'm also amused that all three of the last three Recogs we've seen in fic (Honey/Greenweave, Brightwood/Farscout & now Chicory/Rainpace) took place at the river while fishing. Is it something in the water? Wheeee!

Aww, that was very sweet! It was a great way to handle the recognition - totally without any drama :p. And though they were happy, it didn't magically fix everything between them. Loved the playful description of their water games and their banter, too!

I can't wait to see how it will develop between them and what their kid will be like ^^!

Oh, these two are so cute together! I'm so happy for their Recognition! I loved all the descriptions of their water play. I never knew it was going to lead up to this!

This is so sweet. It's wonderful to see two such good friends get to Recognize and how they respond. I like, too, how Rainpace is still Rainpace--still with his doubts and still with his soft heart! :) And how light Chicory feels... :) Very well-written, very descriptive!

(Poor Notch...first Willow takes a lovemate, and now Rainpace is Recognized...)

Ohhh! I didn't see that coming, but now it makes perfect sense. Even that it happen in that moment makes sense. Very well done.
I agree with Holly. I like to see this way of recognition. And it really touched me how they both looked at their friendship and that in such a hold it room for such a simple but universal problem like a friendship chancing and drifting apart without anyone wanting it.
I can so feel with both of them and I am so happy for them both ^^. I can't wait to see how it is going on with them :)

Woo! Well done, you two! I really liked how this story developed, touching on the way that these two can be such old friends, and so comfortable with each other and yet... also how they could become unsure of their place with each other. It's great to see this variation on a Recognition, too -- not unwelcome, but a surprise nonetheless; and I really love how they seize on it so eagerly in the end. (Also, I just have to say -- what a cute kid I'm sure they'll have!) :D
