Alright, which came first, the idea for this picture or the story I just read? Lovely scene! I like how Turnstone has a bit of flair as he brings in the fish. Like he's putting on a show for his fellow tribemates. Personalities were captured well here!

I have to call this picture "Happy ice fishing". Turnstone looks so happy with his fish! And I'm sure he likes it to have some visitors around! :-)

Great portrayal of life in the holt. I like seeing what they do in the winter. I find it harder to imagine since I live indoors with heating and so on. The figures are well done and nicely proportioned. And the wolves look natural as well.

Looks like Turnstone is impressing his audience with his fishing skills! Love all the details here - Dewdrop wrapping up the fish, the patters of the trees' bark, the wolf tracks in the snow, and the tiny bird watching it all. And Windburn's expression of "what am I seeing??" is priceless XD

Woah, those are some big fish! Well, probably not, but a good reminder of how small the elves are. Makes Windburn's rabbit look a little puny in comparison. Maybe that's why he looks so dismayed and Honey and Turnstone so smug.

What a beautiful way to start the year off! :) I really like Honey in the dark brown tones, and Turnstone looks like he's got a talent for fishing as well - which might be a good thing, in light of the skinny rabbit Windburn's holding. The poses of Honey and Turnstone make me wonder about the story behind this one; whether Honey is teaching or learning. I really like the addition of Dewdrop too! It's so nice to see the preservers in action. With the colouring I really like the faint blues in the snow and ice , it really gives the impression of light glaring off the surface and not leaving too many shadows, and the deep greens of the evergreen bushes are a great contrast.

Windburn's expression is "Oh crap, the fish stories are real!" Turnstone's all, "You'll never hear the end of it, either!" And Honey is so snug and happy in her gorgeous new winter outfit!! and a ;) to Moss!

I like this little scene and that is a mighty big fish. I can imagine the stories that were told about that catch.
