Love the expressions here! They fit very well with what happens in the story - Willow being well-meaning and Rainpace being so very much not okay with what she wants to do. Very emotional and intense!

Ellen, many thanks for this illustration. I still think it is great you choose this scene for doing an illustration. I really hope it might help people to remember Rainpace's scars on his left cheek.
Great job with the inking, too, especially on the dark hair of Rainpace.

Your inking style is so lovely! You can even make Rainpace's anger look beautiful. I really like the way you did the two hair colours, with the close-together lines of Rainpace making his darker than Willow's. Willow looks so innocent here too, in her surprise. The simple lines of their clothing look so tangible, you've really got a talent for making all the folds and wrinkles and stitches.

I like the clarity and seeming simplicity of this illustration. The drawing speaks volumes about Willow's learning curve, and her own "healing" of bad personality traits within her! No she does not know better, and even if she did, who is she to take away the freedom of choice?
