I love how Owl looms in the background, looming over the whole picture like a evil ghost! The red haze at the bottom of the image really hits home the situation and the mood. It's scary to think what a healer could do if nothing held them back...

The red and purple lighting give this image a very threatening fee - great atmosphere! I really like how the image of Owl looms over and behind Kestrel, and the red light in his eyes gives it a very sinister feel, despite not being able to see Owl's full expression.

Nice take on Willow here. And there is something so very brilliant about the way this piece is shaded. Somehow Owl looks like a lit moon to guide her.

I like the contrast of your usual inking style with Willow in the foreground, but a softer approach used for Blacksnake (or is that Owl?) in the background. Makes for a good effect.

Kestrel has a more intense look than Owl's, in a weird way! Slightly pissed off, yet totally serious!! Love it!

Fantastic picture! Very intense! I love Owl's face overshadowing Kestrel, his sharp features, stern look and the red light in his eyes which also engulfs Kestrel transporting the feeling of threat and pain from memories right to her in the present. A beautiful piece and great that You made it to fit a story with the same intense atmosphere.

WOW!!!!! I'm totally impressed!!!! Hallelujah, what a telling and intensive picture. The background is amazing and curdles the blood, Owls eyes are scary and the effect from his hair is great. And Kestrel posture is adorable. Very emotional picture! I love it!

I love what you've done with the composition here -- the warm view of Kestrel in the foreground, and the evocation of Owl at his scariest in the background. Great way to sum up the feel of the story! (I also really love that Owl's look echoes the way his grandson Blacksnake often looks. ;-)
